Delicious.com Feeds

August 22nd, 2009 7,250 comments

According to delicious.com itself:

Delicious is a social bookmarking service that allows users to tag, save, manage and share web pages from a centralized source. With emphasis on the power of the community, Delicious greatly improves how people discover, remember and share on the Internet.

Delicious became part of the Yahoo! group of web enterprises in December 2005.

In Aug 2009, sharing bookmarks from delicious.com became easier. According to the site’s blog:

Previously, sharing a bookmark with another Delicious user required using a particular syntax or copying and pasting the URL into an email or tweet. Now, you can share it directly when you save or edit the bookmark. To share a bookmark, simply add recipients in the new Send field when you save or edit the bookmark. Click the Send field and you will see the Send tab with social network options.

For those of you using Delicious bookmarking for SEO reasons, you might know that bookmarks on Delicious are all kitted out with the nofollow tag.  However what you might be unaware of is that Delicious RSS feeds do NOT share this attribute, and will therefore be read and followed by the search engines.
